About Us

Take only memories, leave only footprints.

Zanzibar is not just a beach destination; it is a sensory journey. Known evocatively as the “Spice Island,” this archipelago off the coast of Tanzania is famed for its sun-drenched palm-lined beaches, pristine coral reefs, and a rich tapestry of Swahili culture. For centuries, it was the hub of an Indian Ocean trade network, blending African, Arab, Indian, and European influences into the unique character you see today

Prison Island

Once the site of a gaol for misbehaving slaves, the island lies just off the old Stone Town. It is fringed with a beautiful coral reef — ideal for snorkeling — and has a lovely white beach perfect for sunbathing. It is also home to a family of giant tortoises, imported from the Seychelles in the late 19th century.

Jozani Forest

This forest is one of the last remaining sanctuaries in the world for the Zanzibar red colobus monkey. They are wild, but it is possible to get close to them as they carry on their normal activities as though human visitors do not exist. You’ll also have the chance to see different species of fish during the mangrove boardwalk, stroll at your leisure to visit the Mama Mtondoo

Blue Lagoon Snorkeling

Enjoy snorkeling by swimming at Paje, Bwejuu, Jambiani, and surrounding areas to see the coral atoll surrounded by thriving, vibrant reefs and a variety of colorful fish in the Indian Ocean. All snorkeling gear is provided.

Salaam Cave Tours

At Salaam Cave Tours and Safaris, we believe every journey should be an extraordinary experience filled with adventure, discovery, and relaxation.

Nakupupenda Sandbank

(in Swahili, meaning “I love you”). Nakupupenda Sandbank — sometimes known as Romantic or Lovers’ Island — is one of many beaches in Zanzibar with clear blue water and pure white sands. The waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Its clean, white, beautiful sandy beach and crystal-clear blue waters sum up the magical experience.

Dolphin Tour

Have you ever seen dolphins? If not, now is your time to see them live! You can spot both bottlenose and humpback dolphins. The shallow coastal waters around Kizimkazi are a favorite hangout for dolphins that come for the reliable food supply, to nurse their calves, rest, and socialize. Let’s go and play with dolphins! Kizimkazi is also the site of a 12th-century mosque — the earliest evidence of Islam in East Africa — and is worth a visit for both natural and cultural reasons.

Spice Tour

On-time taxi keeps you close to the cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, curry, pepper, and many other spices and herbs that are essential ingredients in Zanzibar’s everyday life. It is the island’s connection to spices and herbs.

Airport Transfers
